Default Kahr PM9 Magazine Release Button problem

I've got a Kahr PM9. All the time I am noticing that the magazine is released, but just sitting there. The button is somehow getting pressed inside both of my holsters.

This is a MAJOR problem if I have to fire and the magazine isn't all the way clicked in. Is there something I can do to firm up that button, giving it more force required to depress it? Or do I have to add to my training regimen always tapping the butt onto my support hand before gaining a 2-handed grip?

Thoughts?

If you are sure it's the holster, get another kind of holster. If you're not sure, call a gunsmith or Kahr customer service.

How stiff is the magazine release to operate now? If the problem is your holster and you install a heavier spring, it'll then be too hard to operate-especially when under a stressful situation. Try modifying your holster if needed. If the magazine release spring is indeed too light, it's a simple fix.

Very happy camper, here! I just called Kahr technical support and after a 2 minute conversation they got my address and are sending me a new metal mag-release button. FREE. That's pretty cool!

Now we'll just have to figure out the install.

Installed the new release...made of steel. After a month with the new mag release button, I haven't had a SINGLE inadvertent release.

SUCCESS!!
