Default Kahr MK9 Value

Today I fondled a NIB Kahr MK9 with crimson trace laser grips. I own and love my Kahr PM9 and think I'm looking at a good value on the MK.

This dealer has the MK9 w/CT grips marked at $725.00

4 years ago I paid $609 for the poly frame version of this gun so I'm thinking I should jump on this MK.

I would appreciate feedback from MK owners regarding reliability and the value of this deal.

Thanks

TACK

Wow 41 views and NO responses? Guess no one owns an MK 9?

Man, honestly...and I can't speak for others, but I fired a range buddy's Kahr .45, I'm not sure the model. It was ITTY BITTY for a .45 tho, and while it seemed a top quality little gun, that diminutive little s..t PUNISHED my @$$!!! I loaded 5 in the mag and handed it back to him with 3 still in it. And typically, I don't mind a little recoil.

I know it's wrong to judge a brand on two rounds, but I haven't held one since...sorry.

Wish I could help

I don't have any direct experience with the MK9, but I'd caution that it is one of their models with the match grade polygonal barrel. Their match grade barrels are made to extremely tight specs and can be very picky about what ammo they will chamber. I had a chance to take the TP45 for a spin, another match grade model. Inexpensive ammo like Remingtons or Winchester whilte box wouldn't even chamber in the gun. I don't been they wouldn't feed, they wouldn't even chamber. The slide would not close to battery on one. On the other hand, I own a CM9 which, is the low end economy model. It has their standard barrel. It eats anything without complaint. Extremely reliable.
