.....And that is DO NOT EVER hold the gun sideways .... I mean it just makes you look really silly .

Rule number one of gunfights is don't get involved in the first place. If you're stuck in a legitimate gunfight rather than a skirmish with two or three shots fires than you are fubar.

I'm not disagreeing about going home but there's a difference between shooting to protect yourself and just getting in a firefight. The objective should always be to disengage safely. Create an opening g and get away is all I'm saying

I agree, avoid if possible. But be ready if that is not an option.
