as i a have recently got in to guns, i started with a Phoenix Arms .22 and love it. i got the itch to get something bigger. went to my local store and they have the C9 on sale for $129. i will be going back tomorrow to get it. it did feel a little top heavy when i held it in the store, but it was empty. i was also told that it could not be taken apart for cleaning. i said ok and did a little research when i got home. its not quick, but it can be done. i read this whole thread and a few others on other sites and that helped me make my decision. i knew this was the right forum to join.

New gun store in Muncie Ind just down from Ball State has the 9MM for $129.00 + tax

Not as ugly as they used to be but not as expensive as some of the pretty ones.

You would think that if they were that bad that at least one person would. I would also rather have a 100$ gun than no gun at all, and as far as customer service, and company that has a warranty on the product no matter the owner has my business. I shall now put on my flame suit, NOTHING is uglier than a Glock lmao
Nick,

Welcome to the forum and I have to say, this is a pretty gutsy post! Backing Hi-Point and knocking Glock in the same post - you'll fit in just fine.

Never had one, never shot one. The price alone made me want to just save up a little more and get something from a reputable name. If I found one for next to nothing I may get it just from what I've read here. If I found one for $100, id probably just buy $100 worth of ammo for my sig. That's just me though, I'm not just gonna fill up my gun cabinet with every good deal I find. How many wasrs would I have with that mentality?

I had a hi-point, it was the .40 cal model and i only paid 200 for it nib. It did fine for what it was as long as i used fmj in it. I bought a box of hydra-shox once and i couldnt get it to chamber a round. I had it for about 4 years but didnt shoot it much once i got my 1911. I carried the hipoint for a very short amount of time while i was saving for my .45.

I ended up trading it and 50 bucks for my 870 express magnum

You got a good deal on that shotgun. I like the hi point myself, but they are cheap, there's no denying it. So considering yours was used and you also gave 50 bucks, that's like giving a total of maybe 100 for the shotty.

Yeah when he proposed the trade i didnt have to think about it very hard. It was 12 years old and never been fired, it looked like it was just built

Well I like my Hi Point 45 and I will also say yea they are ugly but then so is Glock and the rest of the Polymer guns. When it comes to Semi Auto's nothing looks as nice as a 1911.
