Default Are Jennings unsafe?

Found this link about a self firing Jennings at a Florida gun range, the lawsuit seems to be a given, but it's the first I've heard of a gun magazine needing a pliers to load ammunition properly, then firing on its own!

That one certainly was.
I've never held them in particularly high regard anyway. But this is a new low, even for Jennings.

I had a Jennings J22 years ago. What a piece of $hit. It wasn't worth the coest of the materials used to make it. FTF, FTE, stovepiped rounds..... If someone attacked you and this is all you had, I would olnly recommend throwing this gun at them. Now it never went off on its own, but you never actually new if it was gonna fir when you pulled the trigger.

Please bear in mind- if you are considering a Jennings ANYTHING- there is no longer a Jennings Company. There is no longer a Bryco Company (their successor)

However, if the lawyers are like some I have seen, they will file suit against whoever made the pliers that was being used to "make the bullets fit better".

I've owned a J-22 for a long time, I'm guessing 20 yrs. or more, and it has NEVER been any problem what-so-ever. It's a good & accurate shooter.

I also purchased a used one recently that was a POS like you explained above.

The OP'ers story is one that stretches my imagination to believe. You don't just lay a gun down and it starts pulling it's own trigger ...and keep it up.

When I bought my Sig P238HD I tried to trade in the J22 (because I couldn't even give it away!) and they knocked $40 of the Sig. I bet they went into the back and threw it in the trash.

I've fired a Jimenez JA nine which is basically the same thing Paul Jimenez bought bryco all the molds and everything and bryco was Jennings. He even had to move the company to Nevada because California wouldn't let him operate because they were so crappy. it shot every time except after it would cycle I would have to push the slide forward that couple if centimeters every time. Piece of crap
