The MP22 has a 12rd capacity, nice trigger, nearly identical layout to the MP9, and it'll gobble through bulk ammo.
Ruger SR9 + SR22- Good guns, completely different design and size.
1911 22lrs- Not impressed. And I own one.
CZ 75 + 22lr Kadet- 75's a great gun (I have a pair). The Cadet kit is too expensive.
Glock + ISSC- Viable. Similar to the S&W package, but IMO less quality, more money.
22/45 + 1911- Excellent. Potentially expensive, but very good. I have both.
Sig P226 + rimfire kit- Had both. Good platform. Expensive combo, expensive mags, finicky rimfire.
Thank you to everyone who weighed in, but it looks like Sweeper wins the thread by owning every gun mentioned.
I was leaning toward the M&P guns anyway, I should have mentioned that the under $1000 would likely be my limit. The 1911 was the other platform I was considering, but I don't think I've seen one person say they liked a .22lr 1911 better than the M&P22 and every comment I've seen about the M&P22 was that it was a blast to shoot.
Mind is made up, now to find the best deals! Thanks again to everyone for your input!
