My C-More was $190 or so, shipped. Got it from Midway. I had a Tru-Glo and it was fine most of the time but on a sunny bright day you'd lose the dot. It just never got bright enough. The C-More is BRIGHT, and has a rheostat for dimming the dot to any level. I believe BSA has a clone of the C-More for much less.

I'm debating on the bulls quality of the NC Star. But for $50 it's worth it to give it a try and see for myself. I could save up for a Burris too...ah who knows. For now i just want to get it to the range. I always find these target sights hard to see the front sight, so I painted it white. I think it should help. I am curious about the trigger though. I read a lot of bad comments on the stock trigger. I know it's an easy fix and I will get intimately familiar with this pistol, so...

I'm curious about grip panels for my 22/45. Can I use any 1911 grip panels for my 22/45, or must they be specific for the model?

This is assuming yours has removable grips. several companies make replacement grips. Houge makes great wood grips for the 22/45 as do several others including Ruger itself...

I bought the 10158 purposely to be able to swap out the grips. The pistol has nice wood grips on them now but I would like the option.
I haven't measured it out but my 22/45 feels slightly larger in my hand than my SIG 1911 does or can it be because my SIG has a flat mainspring housing?
