shoot whatever makes you happy, but leave the "pansy" term out of it. it sounds very childish and immature.

And hey, do what you want with your .44, I'll admit I'm to much of a pansy to play with one!
don't bring your 10mm to my sandbox to play, cause my 44 will embarrass you!

It's been a childhood dream of mine to one day be good enough to carry a S&W Model 29!
Maybe one day...

no, this is a forum about sharing knowledge and your lacking of that knowledge or conceited attitude towards to calibers you feel less powerful than yours is not helping others to make informed decisions.

The original post, from what I understood, is which round would have the stopping power he's looking for, not the most practical. This forum is on the Internet.
I look forward to the day I can state my opinion without someone getting fed up about it...

Since you fellas know something about the 10mm and I know nothing about it I have a question. Ballistic wise is the 10mm more powerful than the .45 acp?

the forum is on the internet? duh! then state an opinion, but caling a 40 S&W a pansy compared to a 10mm sounds immature. yes, it's not as powerful as the 40, but it ain't a pansy by a long shot. i am not fed up by any means, but have little tolerance for childish statements. and thinking that others are not going to point those facts out to you is well........you figure it out.

Yes. A 10mm will hit what's in it's path with much more velocity, so it will also penetrate more (a good thing or a bad thing, you decide). But a 10mm will not lose its velocity as quickly as a .45acp will, so it goes "snap" on what it hits like a sumo wrestler

I'm not thinking others aren't going to try to point out their opinions to me at all. Calling it a pansy round is a joke, and nothing more. You should not take it as more than that...
