Default I just discovered the most dangerous handgun ever!!

A buddy of mine came across a "deal" or so he thought. He called me the other night and asked me if I wouldn't mind looking at a .380 he bought from a neighbor for $50. I went over and picked it up from him, at first look all I could see is the right grip panel was broken and it needed new grips. I took it home and started to field strip it cause it was really dirty and noticed that when I attempted to fire it with snap caps it didn't always go off. So I started to research it online to learn more about it. Its a Lorcin L .380, and when I looked at some of the info I could find about it realized this firearm is so dangerous there are alot of stories about them blowing up on people and the company actually went out of business because of lawsuits based upon malfunctioning guns. I at once called my buddy and warned him about this gun and told him to give it back, don't even bother shooting it. I hope I was able to save him from bodily damage.

Never heard of it. Good job researching it though.

You truly get what you pay for. I wouldn't pay $50 for any gun.

Think you could get NIB Lorcins for not much more than $50.

Your buddies neighbor hosed him down good. Hope he can get his $50 back

Tack

+1, he should have the neighbor do a demo shoot.

Tell your friend to stand well back.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

This might just be one of those cases where it would be for the good of society to suck it up and destroy the dangerous firearm.

There is an interesting history/ relation/ background with Raven, Jennings, Bryco, Lorcin, Jiminez and Phoenix.

About the only REAL CHEAP gun companies NOT involved with the above is the older FIE/ Excam/ RG companies- who were making and importing dirt cheap pot metal guns from West Germany in the 1960s.
