Stalkingbear's advice on the 345 is sound.

Anybody interested in a polymer .45 should take a good look at the Kimber Pro BP Ten II.

The Pro BP has the metal inserts that the Ruger lacks, so the Kimber will hold up better over the long haul. It also comes with a 13-round magazine.

With 13+1 in .45 ACP, you've got some serious firepower if the SHTF!

Man that is a sweet pistol Defender. I'm supposing it is a single action only?

I already ordered the Beretta. I'm hoping this pistol will meet my expectations. Beretta hasn't disappointed me yet. I'll let ya know

Yes, it's SAO, Tom.

There are a lot of good weapons out there, so don't second guess your purchase of the Beretta.

If you've had good experiences with Beretta in the past, there's no sense switching.

Like I said before, what matters is that the weapon is reliable and that you practice enough to become proficient with it in case of an adverse situation.
