I have had my XD's for over 5yrs and have put at least 3k rds through my 4" Service and about 4k through my 4" Compact. The only problems that I have had were magazine related issues. My XD's have been my EDC since I purchaed them.

As for the pin breaks this is the first I have head of it. Where did you find the info on that?

+1 on the staple gun. Plus the Glock feels like your holding a brick, it just does not feel right. I shot my wife's Glock 19 that she uses for work once, I put about 250 rds down range with it and just could not get used to the feel of the grip. I would look at the S&W M&P or even the XD-9. Me, personally, I like my Sig's the P-226/229 in 9mm.

There are so many great choices out there. Go out and try and shoot as many different handgun's as you can to find what works for you.

The hard part is your need to limit yourself to, what appears to be, one of each caliber. Don't get me wrong, I understand it, as I too once was there, not so long ago (talking matter of months), but it is, by pure definition, limiting. You don't beat the 1911 platform. Trade in the Springfield and you'll never look back.

Well, I wouldn't. Hahaha

I solved my problem. I am the proud new owner of a new Beretta 92FS. I will post some pics this weekend. This gun fit me the best. I was not happy with the Glocks trigger at all. It felt like a plastic gun you get at a toy store.

A stock Glock trigger sucks. There's no denying that.
