Default I got the itch again!

I feel the need to get a new gun. My friend has a shop and currently has a S&W m686 with a 2 1/2 inch barrel and a SIG 1911 Blackwater. However, I was thinking of waiting for the new Springer XDm in 45 ACP. I have plenty of 45 1911s and 357 Smiths but this would be my first polymer gun.

Which should I pick.

Here are pics to help you out:

Go with the Revolver. The XD is ugly and 1911's aren't supposed to have an accessory rail. JMO

I may have voted different if one of the Choices was an M&P45.

The Smith Wheel gun hands down!

The Blackhawk is way overpriced and I'd wait for the XD 45 in sub.

If you really want a great deal look at this used TRR8:

used Smith & Wesson Performance Center 327 TRR8 Extras for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $939.00

I also have enough 1911's and sem-auto's in general. I'd go with the revolver for a change up. Find out what you've been missing all these years--you might be surprised. I'm thinking about it myself.

Seems to me that an L-frame Smith with 2 1/2" barrel is a contradiction in terms. I'd want a longer barrel or a smaller frame. Try to conceal that thing, you'll look like you're stealing watermelons. That Blackwater looked nice, don't have a clue what price might be. Even though I'm Obama rich (I own a lunch box which I carry to work) price has a definite impact on purchases I contemplate.

That 686 is all gun! the other two are nice but don't get the grin for the win IMHO. The XD and the black water seem to be going for eye apeal. The 686 jumped out to me, all three are fine pistols. Good luck and let us know what you chose.

Ooops, forgot about this thread.
The XDm 45 won in the poll and guess what.
For those of you who did not see it I did buy the XDm 45.

Here is the thread: http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f59/range-report-45-acp-springfield-xdm-45-a-28825/
