No way I'd waste money on Federal. That's so puny it's sickening.

Double Tap 200gr JHP is 1300fps and 700 ft lbs. Nothing light about those numbers.

See that's what I'm talking about, I don't need convincing not to use it. I've seen plenty of videos of people killing deer, and even elk with it.

I'm a seasoned hunter and I know my limits. It's not like I'm gonna try to kill a deer at 100yds with it. I'm gonna try to keep it under 30yds, 50yds at the max.

Olympus, I'd be grateful if you would share your reload data. Although, I do understand if you do not want to.

I completely disagree...
There is a lot to be said about proper bullet selection.
A 200gr cast bullet perhaps

Whats your point? If you are such a poor hunter that you shoot a deer in the "a$$" with most hunting *rifles* you'll generally get the same results.

Its true that most "mainstream" 10mm ammo isn't loaded hot enough for hunting. Several specialty companies, however, sell 10mm loaded appropriately for deer size game, or you can load your own.

I'd probably rather go with a .44 magnum revolver, personally, but to say a 10mm can't do the job just isn't true.
