IMO it's a very subjective topic.

I had a 1911A1- parkerized OD, with black accents and wood

handles. The three tones were driving me nutz.

So I found a set of Hogue black rubber grips.

Now the accents match the grips. It's two toned.

I can sleep again.

You're right, I don't want an answer, I wanted to discuss and debate. Maybe one of us will get new ideas and make a good looking gun.
When they kick out your front door, how you gonna come. With your hands on your head or on the trigger of your gun?

Just like cars.
Great paint jobs, lotsa chrome, numbers matching cars
the patina paint, rust, and "who knows where the part came" accessorized.

Each has its own beauty.

I would rather have a firearm that is accurate and reliable for its intended usage than "eye-candy" that sits in the safe.
