Why not a XDM 3.8? Thats what i now carry every day. I had a XD40 Sub Compact and it was a great gun. I like the XDM40 a little more though.

I have an XD40SC.
I like it fine.
AFAIK, there is no direct competitor on the XDm lineup.

Liberals are constantly telling us about the poor and oppressed in this country. With that in mind, why do they feel the need to keep importing poor people from other countries?

NO.
What I meant is, that there isn't a subcompact XDm (last I looked). I took this discussion to be about the SA XD & XDm lineup.

Wait....Kimber? When did they go plastic?

The 3.8 XDM is very close to the same size as a XD Sub Compact.

Kind of breaking out the oddities aren't you? Besides its mostly a BUL anyway.
Certainly not the competitor that most think of for the XD/XDms

Perhaps it is (was) an oddity but, it IS a Kimber and it is polymer, thus a competitor.

Layne Simpson did a review of the polymer Kimber and said it would become his primary carry weapon. Of course, he's a gunwriter and is paid to print nice things. Others have stated that they have had a lot of trouble with reliability. I tend to believe those "other's" reports more.
