How Bout You Light Me Up A SIG?

how come there is not a "SIG" forum? IMO they feel terrific in the hand, and the DA/SAs triggers are HARD to beat.

So, I'd like you to tell me just why, every other gun I sell only goes up in value later on in a private sale EXCEPT Sig??

Something really special about a gun that resembles a car when it is sold:mad:

If you don't like Sigs that's fine as we all have our favorites - but blanket statements such as this are pure BS. No used guns really appreciate unless you stumble on a special deal or stiff a noob.

As for the OPs question, can't have a special section for everything...

I do not dislike Sig Sauer,
And you are very wrong, here in Arizona Every gun I sell my customer will go up in value (private sale) except your Favorite.

So let me get this straight. You sell a gun for say $299 and then the person that buys the gun at your shop (I assume you have a shop as you use the word customer) turns around and sells the gun for more than they paid? Why wouldn't everyone just buy the gun for $299 at your shop?

Something sounds really, really fishy about this to me. Maybe your customers are selling guns to folks that can't buy them in a shop - yeah, I'd post that on the internet for all to see. It also appears that you know your customers are selling guns at a profit, I guess straw purchases aren't a problem in Arizona...

Now now gentlemen.

For the record I recently purchased a Kel-Tec P-11 in my area for $275 (private sale). They retail for $250-325 new in my area. The KT was in like new condition, maybe 50 rnds through it and it had everything it came with.

But why pay that much? Because supply here in Central Ohio sucks when it comes to KT. The all the LGS's that sell them cant even wager a guess at when they will get them in (except the PF-9, easy to find). So your answer is a mixture of the "Instant gratification bug" and supply vs. demand.

On the other hand, many agencies here use Glock's and Sig's, so they are easy to find. As a result they are typically found at or below market value.

Just my .02

I like Sig and if you have a good deal on a 239, please let me know.

As mentioned, it is probably more of a supply and demand thing. They are great guns IMHO but are they $200-$300 more than the new generation of pistols to most buyers? Maybe that is also part of the equation.

I think Sigs are good guns, but we can't have a forum for every gun. Besides, a CZ forum is next on the list. Get in line!! :D

What?! :confused::confused:

How will "Every gun" you sell in Arizona go UP in value? Are you running a shop where you are pricing well below MSRP? And if, why are you not advertising your prices here, you would probably triple your business.

There are only a couple of things that are going to make a used weapon go UP in value.

Either it has a serious back story (I.E. used to belong to Wyatt Earp, was used by Jeff Cooper at Class 001 Gunsite instruction, something like that).

It was a first run, blemished, limited production or similar that no one knew about at the time of intial purchase and thus rare NOW when it was not rare when initially purchased.

Or it's being sold to someone who can not legally attain access to said weapon, in which case the Law of Supply & Demand comes into play.

Please explain this "Arizona Gun Buying Phenomenon".:confused:

PS - Sigs are great guns, but they don't have as much penetration into the market as the other weapons that do have sub-forums would be my guess.

If you would like the site admin is notdku. Send him a PM and he might set you up a Sig Sub Category just for asking. ;)
