I personally think Hipoint's get an undeserved bad rap. My father in law has a hipoint .40 and we have had only 2 malfunctions in 500 rounds with no cleaning. 1 was a failure to feed and the other was stovepiped brass. both were after using some winchester FMJ's that also scorched the brass so i think it was more the rounds than it was the gun. Afterwards we loaded it back up with Magtech 180 gr FMJ shot another 200 rds and it fired flawlessly.

It don't matter. If someone reads a bad review on a cheaper gun than that gun is cursed for life. Theres lemons in every brand but if its a Hi Point or Taurus than they are garbage but if its a Kimber with same problems they will send it in for warranty work and brag about what a great gun it is

i imagine that those who bash and trash the Hi-Point the most have never even owned one, much less even shot one.

I never owned or drove a Yugo either. It makes no sense to buy a cheaply made gun, load it with an explosive charge, hold it in front of your face and pull the trigger. It might go bang in the wrong way.

I personally think Hipoint are pretty decent handguns. As I have said my father in law has one and we have put over 500 rounds through it no cleaning and have had only 2 malfunctions. That is pretty decent no matter what handgun you shoot and yep good enough for me.
