I've never shot a High Point, but I did just run across this pic moments ago. I'm not giving crap about any guns!

you just seem to like making a point of bashing others choices of firearms! you sir sound like a snob to me. the Hi-Point is what it is, an inexpensive made pistol for those on a budget that is fairly reliable and has some really good CS.

if you don't like the Hi-Point, then just say so and keep the rest of your comments to yourself. anything more than that, you just endup looking like a flaming idiot!

I had the .40 hi point as my first pistol.. I wouldn't recommend using it as a self protection piece. Mine jammed a lot almost every magazine. But I do like the lifetime warrenty idea and it is a very cheap ugly, awkward, yet fun gun to shoot..

To continue with other's car analogy, we all remember

the stupid things we did with our first car. Those of

us who were lucky had beaters, till we got some idea

of what we wanted, needed, and also how to drive.

IMO, you could do a lot worse, (and spend a lot more) than

with a Hi-Point as a first pistol.

I heard there great from actual owners of them. THEY WILL PERFORM! lifetime warranty on hi point products great customer service and its 3 weapons in 1 (gun, you can throw it like a brick, tie a string to it and twirl it around and throw it . They are heavy but they're good guns.

They really aren't bad pistols. They aren't good pistols. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing fine about them. They are big, ugly, simple, heavy. Just really hideous pieces of work. But they work. YouTube Hi Point failures. Then YouTube Glock Failures or Glock KB. Everyone makes individual pieces that fail, but Hi Point makes guns (albeit ugly, Robocop looking units) that work and are cheap enough for anyone to afford. Would I buy one of their pistols? No. But I don't need to. Would I have purchased one before college? Absolutely.
