I have a high point c9

9mm and it seems to jam while firing.... Any ideas on why?

Get a better grip when you shoot it.

What he said. Use a high grip. Also try using different ammo. My cf9 likes to eat it all, but yours might be different.

How does the grip help?

Some pistols will jam if not held tightly. How old is this pistol?

Some say the shooter has to shoot about 200 rounds before a new C9 settles in.

keithyingling 02-18-2012 09:34 PM

I bought it about a year ago.... It was brand new.... Maybe 50 round through it...

Yea keep shooting. It will line itself out. It took mine a couple mags to set good. After breaking it in never a jam fte or ftf.

Although the highpoint is a blowback action, if you have too much play in your hand it will disapate some of the energy from the action. It happens more frequently in recoil opperated pistols. Just be aware of your grip and see if it helps.
