I think you should buy both, and sink about $1K into a custom Hi-Point 45acp compact frankenstein project. You can do it!

None of them, you can get a regular boat anchor cheaper and that's about all those are good for. And if you just want one for a truck gun or a tackle/ tool box gun there are better guns out there to get for that.

I had the 45 years ago. It was a good gun for the money. I can't speak of the 9. Never had one.

When it comes to Hi Point, compact is an extremely relative term...

Their smallest is the .380, and I wouldn't even really call it compact. It is concealable though.

Don't let the naysayers dissuade you, it's a much better gun than folks make it out to be. Are there better guns out there? Oh hell yeah.

But to get something like that just for the hell of it? Go for it.

Don't listen to the naysayers. I bought a C9 just for the hell of it.

It gives me a disproportionate amount of enjoyment for the $100 I spent. Mostly when I use it to outshoot people at the range.

Nothing is better than using a C9 in IDPA competition and then "politely" pointing out to all the people that you beat that they spent too much on their pistol...

This I would love to be present for. I'll bet the looks on their faces are priceless. Notice I'm not saying the hi point isn't capable of doing it. I'm positive it can.
