Default Hi point JC 40

I'm having issues with my jc 40 s&w not locking open on last round. Anyone have suggestions as too why?

It could be many things. I suggest you shoot a few hundred rounds through it and see if the springs loosen up a bit. If its a new weapon, tight springs can overcome the force of the mag release catch and allow it to slam forward back into battery. It's just hard to tell without handling or inspecting the weapon. There are a lot of issues with this kind of problem:
Here are the first six questions before getting into the next twelve.

1. Has this problem happen before?
2. Has the gun been cleaned since the last time it was shot?
3. Has the gun been properly lubricated?
4. Do you use grease on the slide?
5. How many rounds were shot before problem occured?
6. What type of ammunition were you using?

1. don't know, I just got the gun.
2. Yes I cleaned it when I got it.
3. Yes.
4. No grease on slide.
5. 7 rounds. First clip.
6. I was using CCI then tried winchister
