Money isn't really an issue for me. I just wanted a simple point, pull trigger, bang! I found it and it works. I had heard before about the hollow points not feeding so I stay away from them. Even have the 9mm carbine from Hi-Point and it does its job too. Like it was said before " everyone has their own opinions"

Isn't that carbine great, I just wish someone would hurry up and make a 30 mag for it.

Love the carbine!!! It is such a fun gun to shoot. I too wish they had bigger mags.

Hi points as demonstrated by irqveteran888 on youtube can take the hottest handloads you can build without detonating . They were even shooting 10% overloads and the damn thing just wouldnt blow up. even when they hammered a bolt into the barrel it bulged but STILL wouldnt blow up . that being the case this is what I shoot .

I have a 9mm hi point . Dont let gun snobs bring you down, it shoots every time, really reliable . I have shot 300 rounds with out cleaning it and yet no jams.. I think its time to clean it again.. Lol some improvements you can do is polish the feeding ramp so u will never get jams. Sand out the ramp with 600 grid sand paper the use a dremol tool to polish it make it look all nice and shiny mirror finish, will shoot every time. U can also get a diffrent trigger spring to make the trigger pull lighter. But i like my heavy trigger pull. Cant beat the price for $150 gun
