Default hi im knew here and had a question about my taurus 24/7 pro

so i just got a taurus pt 24/7 pro ds in 45acp and i have heard you cant shoot +p ammo out of them and i have these 12 year old hand loads i got from a friend i think there hot loads but am not sure and i shot about 200 of them through it is there any way to tell if there hot loads how much recoil should a normal load have this is my first 45 not my first gun but just my first 45 thanks

I never shoot reloads from any friend. I don't know (unless I put them over a Chronograph) how "hot" they are and don't want to take a chance and blow up my gun.

ya i dont know how hot they are but they kick more than store bought rounds so i dont think ill use them any more i only have like 100 left should i use them all up or not

How do you know that the first one or the last one could ruin your firearm?

I would not take the chance of shooting any more.

(As a side note: Shooting reloaded ammunition may void any warranty that may be on you firearm.)
