Default Help! Bad day with my Glock!

Firing my G22 today I had several failure to feeds. I fired 1 15 rd magazine with no issues, loaded the second mag and would not fire more than one round at a time. The gun was super clean and I have fired 400-500 rds through it. I have fired Federal, Hornady, and American Eagle through it with no issues. Today I was using Fiocchi. Is this a Glock issue, Fiocchi issue or a .40 issue? Please help as this is my primary home defense weapon!

I'm far from an expert but seems to me it'd be an ammo thing if all the other brands fed well but I've never known Glocks to be picky eaters, at least not mine. How's that feed ramp look? I know you said it was clean but sometimes it doesn't take much to cause a problem.

Is it a gen 4? If so, contact Glock about their voluntary replacement of the receiver spring assembly.

It's a gen 3, and the ramp looks fine to me. I'm not a gunsmith but I cant see anything obviously wrong with the weapon itself.

You say you loaded the second mag. Was it a different magazine, or a reload of the same one. A heck of a lot failures on any semi-auto pistol are mags.

Then again, sometimes plastic melts..........
You might want to consider a all steel gun, like a 1911...........

It was a different mag. Same problem in both mags that I have. Believe me I was ready to put the gun on a block and use it for target practice with my 25-06.

Far from an expert here but the pics you have look like your extractor isnt removing spent casings, hopefully one of the guys that actually know what they are talking about can help you.

have you fired any cast lead rounds through it? If so, clean the hell out of the chamber and bore, then stick to jacketed rounds, as per manufacturer's recommendation.

If that's not the case, switch ammo and try again. If it still functions fine with other ammo, then just stay away from the problem (that particular ammo).

Before I just assume I guess I should ask are those spent casings or live rounds?

Was the other ammo that worked fine of the flat-nosed, trunctuated cone type shape/design (like the Fiochi)?
