Actually, it was only by accident I left that one out...I've been pondering quite a bit on a 10mm lately. Definitely interested in getting my hands on one, I've never shot one before. I like the concept and, if it lives up to my expectations, I could see going for a 10mm before a .40.
One thing to consider is that 10mm ammo is kinda pricey. And .40 is perfectly good for defense against "humanoids". I have a Stoeger 8040 Cougar, and am quite happy with it. I also have a Taurus PT-940, which is double-stacked, 10+1 capacity, is only 5" tall and easy to conceal. Both have done well for me. I don't know if they were specifically designed for .40 or not, but I have found no fault with them.

noooo!... wait. hold on a second. what you really need is a glock 23 Gen 4. If the FBI uses it as their primary sidearm, then you can't go wrong buyin it

Yeah, I've considered that on the 10mm. Also can't just swing by Wally World when you want to go plinking either. Definite drawback. I like to hear to Stoeger is good, though...that one is on my short list for sure.

Forgive me if I don't automatically think something is great because the federal government does it...Kidding...kind of...actually I'm not.

Does the Gen 4 still have the unsupported area (for extractor) in the chamber and the polygon barrel?

Stoeger Cougar and Beretta px4 are basically the same. don't get me wrong but isn't the cougar all metal? I know the Px4 is poly...i have one in a .40 and it is great.

The Cougar has a 3 5/8 inch barrel, and I think the PX4 barrel is 4 inches, not sure.

yeah at work and don't have the time look up the specifics. However I have to say that the Px4 was my first pistol, picked up a FNP 9 and about a month ago I got a CZ75b. I now understand what the whole metal vs poly is all about. I love my heavy, solid CZ.
