My wife and I love to shoot. We have two 9mms. A ruger sr9c and a ruger P95. What 22 pistol would help with target aquisition and point and shoot training? Know a good rimfire to cut down ammo costs and still feels like a full sized 9mm?

The Walther P-22, or Sig Mosquito serve that purpose as well.

Neither of these feels much like a "real" gun - and I own both. The best "simulator" .22 available is one of the Sig P series guns. These are "real" Sigs and you can also buy the appropriate centerfire kit so you can have the best of both worlds. Get a P229 in .22 now and add the 9mm kit later and you have a great dual caliber platform.

For a dedicated .22, I'd suggest a Ruger 22/45...
