I have a P95. I am a revolver fan. The P95 is much like a revolver. It points well, SA/DA and it's pretty darn reliable once you get the magazines broke in. Now if I can figure out how to ditch the decocker.

Is the SD 9ve a SMITH & WESSON? I live here in California. Home of bullet buttons and magazines that can't exceed 10 rounds (unless there pre ban which are a BITCH to find) would you happen to know how long the barrel is on the SD 9ve is?

A pistol I enjoy, and is under the budget price listed.... Star BM. Single action 9mm, similar in size to a 4 in 1911. All steel, reliable, fairly accurate.... but spare parts are almost impossible to find. Gunbroker usually has several of them for sale.

It has a 4" barrel and they do have 10rd models. Smith introduced them in early June and you should be able to find them at your local gun store

A ruger p95 would also be a good entry level pistol.

Those are inflated prices. You can probably find a ruger p95 for 350$
+1 on the p95 ... built like a brick ****house

Nobody echoed my choice, can be had for $399. All steel, Beretta designed, and proven reliable. Lot of bang-for-the buck.

Anything from the CZ75 line of pistols.

With most manufactures, a pistol under 500 will be Tupperware and there are plenty of good poly guns out there but if you'd like one of the best shooters on the market and the best value too boot, go with a CZ75b.

It's all metal, single action only, 16+1 in 9 mm, and in the opinion of many, just as good as a Browning Hi Power for half the price.

Good Luck

Tack
