If your gun shop doesn't have a Bersa, Bud's can send them one for cheaper than they'd sell you one for. I've been finding that most locals have a $50 markup. Am FFL transfer fee is only $20.

I'm going to advocate Taurus for the less than $400 range. Their quality always surpasses my expectations, and have found mine to be good working guns. I carry one often, always goes bang

I've currently got the Ruger SR9C. I've probably put 500+ rounds through it, and have had 0 issues with it. Accurate as can be. Got mine for $379.

Still looking for a S&W Shield 9mm, though. On a few waiting lists with a 6 month minimum wait as it stands. But from what I've read, it's worth the wait.

Best thing to do for feel of a gun..just go into some shops and get a feel for em. Everyone's got their own opinion of how a gun feels in their hand.

just picked up a kahr cm9 for 350.00 it is the smallest 9mm that i could find and still be easy to shoot.

i have given it much thought. and i stumbled across a shop that sells the makarov for 124.99 that would give me enough left for another mosin. i already have the russian winter reds. i think it would make a good set. my buddy has a makarov and he was telling me unless you want to fire extremely fast its a really good carry gun and it handles quick double taps very well. with that being said i already know the mosin can reach out to a mile accurately if you have the right optics. i like iron sights as it is. plus two guns for the price of one. cant pass it up

I have a Ruger P95 in 9mm and luv it! It is a full size gun and rather chunky for a concealed carry.
I have a BERSA ThunderNine UltraCompact Pro in 9mm and luv it and the Bersa is my CCW! 1,000 rounds thru it so far with flawless functioning! Both are under 400$ too! Awesome quality, dependability at affordable price!

Considering the you're a small individual, the p95 may be too large and heavy for you to carry. Bersas are great and perfect for conceal carry. The only reason I carry a full sized s&w is because I'm 6'4 275

I carry a P95 but I am a large man and I have carried a big gun all my life. A woman might be able to carry a P95 in a belly band but I can tell you my wife doesn't like carrying the P95. She carries my P11 most of the time. She also has a 357 mag SP 101 with a 2.25" barrel she carried for several years. She uses a belly band holster over 90% of the time.

My father in Louisiana just picked me up a Smith & Wesson SD40VE, chambered in .40S&W for $362 out the door. I'm heading down there later this week and he's gonna give it to me. He's already shot it and says it's a fine gun.
