When buying a tool that can be called on to keep your bacon form sizzling is the wrong time to get cheap. You don't have to spend as grand to get a good pistol. But like anything else at some point you are going to get what you pay for. Maybe have him look at used pistols/revolvers. It's a good way to save a few bucks and still get a decent gun. 300-350 though you are really getting close to the Jennings Bryco class of pistols. And I am not too much on advising these to anyone./

Recoil does not bother him but for some reason he thinks it might feel weird when he shoots it. I guess its because he does not have to much experience shooting. Hes only shot like 5 different guns and most were revolvers and shotguns. Then again, he loves how 1911's feel.

I understand what he means. Some people like the was certain guns feel and others don't, thats why they make different sizes and models. The other day I shot a knock off high power and a beretta m9 and I couldn't hit the target hardly with the beretta. The grip felt a little too big because it had an aftermarket grip on it. However with the hp I was doing quite well.

Im thinking about calling it quits and letting him choose whatever garbage gun he wants, Now he says he does not like that gun or how it looks even though yesterday he said he liked it and called the guy.

It may be time to lay out some options and step away.

I hear a lot of good things about Rock Island Armory 1911's. Those would be in the price range.

Top two candidates in my opinion. CZ 75 and 92 FS.
I am biased towards CZ. It is simply more accurate and handles
Better than Beretta 92.
