Glock 23 and 27 are hard to beat. That said, I have an M&P 40c and it is a great gun.

+1 on the M&P 40C, I have the M&P 40 FS, and it is one of the most reliable and accurate pistols I own, that being said, I don't think you could go wrong with the XD or XDm service, Sub Compact or 3.8 either.

Sig P239. I have it in 9mm, but it is available in .40 and .357Sig.

Single stack, very concealable, DA/SA with decock.

I also have the 740. Have had zero problems with it. A little snappy on the recoil with 180 grain. I carry the G-22 most of the time.

You've got a G19, so a G23 is the same size and all. I also have the G27. Rotate them around, depending on my mood and such.

I've done the Ruger sr40c, Springfield XD40, Kahr pm40, and Glock 23. BY FAR the best for me was the Glock. Next in line will be a 27. The Ruger is a close 2nd, but in my opinion, the 23 is the ultimate semi-auto carry.
