I'd go with the Glock all day...I've never shot a 1911 that pointed as naturally for me as my Glocks do. Plus the fact that I can pick up a new Glock for well under 500 bucks with my LE price makes it a no brainer for me. I couldn't care less about a Glock being "ugly" as so many people say...I want it to work and shoot the capacity of a Glock is nice. I've never heard of someone getting killed because they have too many rounds...having to reload after 7 shots may cost you...

best thing about 1911 vs glock is that 1911s dont explode in your hand showering you with shrapnel from off the shelf ammo cuz of unsupported chambers

glock and kaboom go hand in hand just like glock and glock-leg do heh

Come on, duke it out, All Ye GLOCK and 1911 fanatics!!

I'm a revolver guy myself, I've always been comfortable with them. But I have decided my next purchase is going to be a 1911. Why? In short, I quote g17, "everyone has got to have a 1911."

He called me out earlier today for not already having one!
K Ill giver a go , 1911's a relic of WWI - II theyre huge , theyre bulky . reliable? sure but so were horse and buggies and theres a reason why only the amish use them.

Glocks? theyre plastic -_- theyre ugly but convertible allows for multiple caliber / barrels , capacity is traditionally higher than a 1911 . theyre lighter . its really personal preference . Id rather have a glock if for no other reason theyre every bit as reliable as a 1911 generally higher capacity and multi calibers.
