Keep the Glock I have 50,000 rounds through my G19. The only thing I have changed is the springs. Look at a better 1911.

A Glock 19 + three 15 round mags + one 10 round mag + 300 rounds of target ammo ... for a Taurus PT1911 + two 8 round mags.

Nope, the math doesn't add up for me. Save up and buy a better quality 1911.

And I have two Tauruses... (but not 1911s, those are Colt, Star and Llama)

Exact opposite for me. I had a PT1911 that i picked up at a gun show. It was new and I got a good deal on it. But then after shooting it I went to my local gun shop and they were really cool and let me swap my pt1911 for a glock 36. I did not care for the pt1911 because it was not a comfortable carry, maybe i am to used to my colt defender. In other words i would stick with your glock until you can save up for a better 1911 carry. Just my opinion. Have a good day, Ed

I apologize for not explaining my intentions better. I am looking for a sub compact 45 to replace my compact Glock for carry. Since I am a lefty, I was interested in something ambi. Most of the ones I looked at, i.e. Kimber, Colt, Para, were $1000 up. I was simply asking if the deal I stated was a good deal, money wise. I think the Taurus is worth more than the Glock and would be an upgrade towards getting the gun I want. If I can make $100 on the deal, that's that much I don't have to save to get the one I want. I never intended to carry a full size 1911. Thanks for all the replies.
