Jon and several others here have the New Agent and love them. They are a truly, by design, a carry gun.

Your lack of sights concern, IMO, is reflected in Colt adding a Crimson Trace model.

My wife shoots a Glock 19 and carries it as well. She loves my 1911 but too heavy for her to carry. We rented so many guns before she decided on the 9. Try it before u buy it.

My wife can operate the slide on the SR9c and she has trouble with a double action trigger. Try it before you buy it. Make sure it is not cocked when you try it. On semi pistols with an exposed hammer, you can cock the hammer before racking the slide which makes racking a lot easier.

those ruger lcp seem to be a good choice as a "purse gun" i mean its a .380 and stoppping power may not be the best but its definitely better than nothing, hahah and with size of these handbags women are carrying these days you could cram a .50AE in there and not even notice, but just take her out let her feel out a bunch of different things and see what she likes and doesnt like, regardless of what those people try and sell you its still the firearm that shes going to be carrying, ultimately let her make the choice ya know, but definitely steer her away from those "bargin" carry pieces that seem to be popping up everywhere, a relaible defensive piece isnt something you wanna cheap out on

My sister tried out my CZ-82 and loved it. Kind of heavy for its size, but sure tames the recoil. Makes it a pleasure to shoot.

Have her try a Bersa thunder 9. DA/SA, safety and decocker. Looks similar to the 380 that my daughter has. Hers is a good shooter and won't break the bank.
