Default FN Herstal?

I have heard wonderful things about FN but I have seen it is now owned by a one Hersta group. Now FN is FN Hersta. Is this correct?

If so, I can only imagine the name FN had built for itself with quality and what not, is now in danger. Almost 100% of the time when a group buys a company it's to make a quick buck. Lower the hourly pay, lower the quality, raise prices, and milk it for as long as they can before selling it.

I am asking cause I have come across a wonderful 9mm but it is a Herstal. wondering if I should chance it. what say you?

No concerns with FNH for me. I have a FNP-40 and owned if for years, it's an FNH product and one I will keep for a life time. Well made, shoots great and eats what ever I feed it.
