First handgun purchase...need help picking between two handguns.
I'm looking at a Beretta Px4 or a Walther P99 anyone wanna help me out with pros or cons please. Oh and I've looked around online but if anyone could tell me first hand what some prices are real quick that would be great. Going shopping later in the week when I have a day off just be good to know a better idea.

You are the one that needs to handle them, and decide for yourself... I wouldn't have either one... for myself.

You really need to go to a range and try them out, if possible, or at least a gun shop near you and handle them. Anyone on here is going to recommend the same thing. We don't know your hand size, we don't know how you shoot, if you shoot/have any background in shooting. We don't know your frame size ( of your body ) - if you are wanting to carry or just use it for home defense and plinking. There are far too many variables for something like this. You need to go and handle them, then ask questions about what YOU noticed with each model.
Of the two choices, if I had to choose one, I would choose the Walther, but neither of them are what I would consider a great weapon.

You should have a "neither" option. You'd probably get more replies. I'm not really trying to bash your choices, just saying they have never been anything that I have considered.

thanks for the neither option i wasn't thinkin when I made the post. I would just be using the gun for target range and to keep at home. And those are the two that I've picked out that I seem to like the best just from what I've seen. I am for sure going to the shop to get a feel for the two in my hand just thought if anyone had any person comments on either.
Anyway thanks for the advice.

i would go with the P99 just because it feels good in the hand and balanced
never shot one though...

I own a Walther P99 in .40. It is an excellent shooter, and very ergonomic. great trigger, short reset, 100% reliable.
No experience with the Beretta. Just not a Beretta pistol fan, so can't help you with that one.
Just get a Glock 17.

If I had to pick one of those two, it would be the Walther. Better overall design and track record in my opinion.
It's up to you. Try not to limit yourself to those two choices. Keep an open mind and check out all the options.
Have you gotten hold of something like a CZ 75/85 yet?
