Default First customization of my recession buster .40 caliber

I was bored, so I decided to give my utility sidearm a bit of customizing...

It's still ugly, but now it's tan and ugly.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Thanks.

I just did the rear sight housing. The contrast actually helps me with quick pickup of that rear ghost ring sight.

The ugly Hi-Point isn't quite so ugly anymore.

Says you.

Honestly, it looks a hell of a lot better with the tan. Now you should paint the bottom of the mag bright yellow and put a NiCad sticker on it, or maybe DeWalt.

I used some heavy duty "flat earth" krylon paint. I sandpapered the areas first to give something for the paint to "bite" onto.
