Gen 3 Glock 30 for carry. I've heard people complain it's too wide but it fits my small hands just fine and it shoots like a dream.

I'd carry my Colt Commander, but the truth is I have nowhere near the same amount of trigger time with it as I do my Glocks or Sigs.

Having carried a multitude of Glocks and now a Sig 229 throughout my LE career, I haven't had the practice of incorporating deactivation of a thumb safety into my draw.

If we're ever allowed to carry a 1911 for duty I might switch and also carry a Commander sized model off duty. Unfortunately my stodgy admin is stuck on Sig .40s and has no intention of allowing us duty gun options. The only option we have is a 229 in DAK or DA/SA.

Gun stores: Where the morbidly obese can pretend to be mercenaries, allude to past experiences in Special Ops, and overuse words like "tactical" and "piece of kit".

I have both the 229 and the G30. I carry my 30 as well sometimes but recently I've came into a coupe of other carry pistols that are a lot more comfortable to haul around. Both are excellent weapons though.

Glock 36. I've got a Glock 17, 19.and 21 and I like all of them but the 36 seems to be the one I reach for most mornings.

I carry Kahr CW 45 in an Alessi CQC-S holster.
Very comfortable, very concealable, very accurate.
