Default F.I.E. Titan .25 auto

While purchasing another firearm today I noticed the pawn shop had an old FIE Titan .25 auto in fair condition with 1 mag for $80. My father has one and I was thinking of purchasing it if they still have it Tuesday when I go to pick up my other firearm I bought today from there. I know they're old cheap guns but can be pretty reliable. Is that a fair price for it?

I would pay about $50 at most.

I have one in .22lr, and it's an absolute POS.
But some people online have no problem with theirs. It jams EVERY round, unless you use aguila sniper subsonics or remington thunderbolts. Winchester rounds won't even eject. I have stripped it, smoothed the parts, made new parts, and soak the SOB in oil, and it still doesn't run right. I don't know why. It seems like it would work fine, but it doesn't. It's best to keep em constantly oiled, and replace the ejector spring with a stronger one. I need to clean and maintenance mine.
I will say this, it is my car carry gun (not old enough for CCW), because I only own 3 handguns, and I don't want my .357 stolen. If it gets stolen, then I'm not out much, and just pulling a firearm will solve many self defense situations. If I have to use it, I'll only have one shot. It is accurate, I will say that.

Yeah I know all about this particular model of gun as my dad owns one identical, and I know he has never had a problem with his......I'm thinking $80 isn't a bad deal as I know around here at least I could easily get $100 for it if not $125. I know for fact the mag alone sells for about $50, and it is an original mag, so I'm pretty sure I could get my money back out of it if I decided to sell it. Just wanted others opinion on the price of it and rather they'd buy it or not if it was them.

I thought I saw some .25 ACP ammo in Bass Pro Shop (or was it .32?)

Anyways, I would not pay more than $50 (unless seller throws in ammo).

I also have a cheap .25.
If you use a .25 for anything except fun, use FMJs. I have also heard European rounds are a little hotter.

Q.F.I. (F.I.E.) “Titan Tigress” .25 Auto pistol. I bought this for Paula for our 4th wedding anniversary. I had the gold plated slide engraved with her name and “Happy 4th Anniversary”. It has a rose embedded on the white plastic grips

That is a good price for the the FIE Titan. I paid $119 for one at a gun show about a year ago. At that time most of what I saw in gun auctions they were going for close to $150. Last January I won an auction and got it for $82 + shipping and FFL it came to $132. I just sold that one of $130 to someone i know. Go get it, there are suckers out the like me who would pay more for one! I just like the gun.

As for shooting, I found the Titan 25 to be very accurate up to 7yds. I never shot further than that because the gun isn't designed for much more. Although the magazines can load 7 rounds, it jams on the first round. Load 6 rounds and you can shoot all day.

It's a fun little shooter and a nice back up gun. Keep it clean and lubed.

thanks for the advice, I already have 35 grain JHP as well as some FMJ ammo that I bought for my other .25. My father also has some JHP and FMJ for his as well. I don't want to make a special trip up there to buy it plus I'm hoping by them having it in displayed for 4 days until I get there Tuesday, that if they they still have it I might be able to get them to come down a little on price. Either way as long as they still have it Tuesday when I go to pick up my other gun, I'm leaning towards buying it.
