Default Does anyone own a Sphinx

...And if you do, is it really better than the CZ-75 or Baby Desert Eagle?

I'm going to guess 'no' will be the answer. RECOIL magazine did a story on them and they raved BUT, they are expensive. Hang here long enough and you'll see a lot of talk about sub $400 guns. You won't see a lot of talk about multi-thousand dollar boutique pistols.

Don't own one but have handled one. They are better fitted than the CZ and baby eagle.

The Sphnix is Swiss made by hand to exacting tolerances like a fine watch. The baby eagle is mass produced and under half the cost. Other than both going bang, I don't think there is much of a comparison.

An update to this dormant thread. I handled a Sphinx at the NRA Convention. The trigger pull was not just service-grade heavy but also gritty (tried another Sphinx - same feel). They may have been dry, but that's how Kriss USA displayed them. For the asking price I'd say No Buy.
