If it has a purpose you could fill the same role with the Kel Tek PMR 30. it's 30 rounds of .22 mag which in it's new HP defensive loadings ould be a marginally better manstoper than the 5.7.
you can get the Kel Tek for 1/4 the price of the FN and it's chambered in a round you can afford to practice with and don't have to worry about it going out of production.
