Default Discontinued S&W Traditional DA Auto's

Good Day,

Just a minute ago I thought about the older S&W traditional double action auto's that revert to single action after one shot is fired from the hammer-down position. I miss those and wish they were still made. They looked like real guns to me. I'm not even familiar with these new striker-fire models various manufacturers have out.

I agree. I'm on a quest for a 1911, but those steel frame da/sa guns that smith made have a certain appeal. I've read reviews on I think the 4506, and if that's the right gun I'm thinking of, it really sounds like a beast.

If you can find them used nowadays, they seem to run fairly cheap too.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillement of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause, and lies exhausted on the field of battle... Victorious.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

My 1006 is my work gun and my 4506 is my "cheap to shoot" sidekick.
