Default Czech made CZ 83

Had an opportunity to pick up an ex-Czech police CZ 83 in 9mm Browning/380. No import markings whatsoever and in pretty decent shape. Looking forward to taking this to the range, have heard these are very good shooters. The trigger is very nice and these are a cinch to take down

Will use thus as a backup carry/desk drawer at work gun.

took this to the range at lunch. Absolutely a 100% sweet shooting handgun. Ran 50 rounds thru it, two handed, free handed stayed right on target and no recoil to deal with at all. This one s a winner!

Nice, I used to be a glock guy. After shooting my first cz75, that changed. I now own a cz 75 custom shadow, custom PO 1 Sdp, along with po7, po9 and the czechmate. If you ever get a chance to shoot one of the customs out of Angus Hobdells custom shop, you will probably love it. I am a gun collector and former special forces member. I have yet to find a 9MM that is more reliable and accurate and that includes the HK's and Sigs that we carried. Nice choice on your firearm! For .45 I might stick with my HK's but I am also really starting to like the Para black ops. We will see as I get more rounds through.

I like how sturdy this gun is. Overbuilt and a little heavy to be sure, but it's not a 'pocket pistol'. Incredibly accurate as well. I expect no problems handling the +p personal defense rounds, which gives 12.5+ inch penetration with the flat nose rounds. 12 of them in the magazine plus lightening fast shooting is probably as good as it gets for a .380.

I have a couple polymer handguns (Rugers) and they shoot well. I think Glocks are just plain ugly and even though that should not matter (it's a tool afterall)...it does. I have no interest in a full-size for a carry gun. I keep my full size in the truck with me, or in a desk drawer. So this fits the bill for me nicely when I do carry. Which is not all the time

I have an 82, almost aol parts are interchangeable if you ever get in a bind. Also Idk if it is the case in the 83 but the 82s are in 9mm Mak. and have a polygonal rifled hammer forged barrel. Lastly the ease of disassembly is magnificent

I've always wanted one of these or a 9mm Makarov model! I really like the looks and idea of them, but sadly, I've never seen one person.
Do they make a .32 ACP model like this?
