I have one in 9mm. Don't know about a 40 but I can tell you the CZ is the best pistol I own. You won't be disappointed.

My CZ74b (9mm) is without a doubt the most ergonomic handgun I've ever owned or shot. It just fits the hand perfectly.

You can never go wrong with a CZ, but as above only know it in 9mm. Compare http://www.damascusgunshop.com/shop/ for prices.

I bought one in 40s&w because I couldn't find it in 9mm and I hadn't owned a 40 yet. It is hands down my favorite to shoot (as of now out my personal collection) Very accurate and fits almost everybodys hand perfectly. I did have a few problems with it not properly ejecting the case at first but with any new gun there's often a break in period, now runs perfectly. Excellent pistol.

I picked up a used 9mm cz75b a couple of years ago for about $400; it has been money well spent. The mecgar mags I picked up have also been great, probably better than the OEM's. It is the most comfortable pistol I own.

I think CZ's are the best bang for your buck.

I would buy a CZ75b in 40 S&W if I could ever find one...been looking for years literally, but have never seen one with my own eyes...I am beginning to think they are an urban legend.
