I'm not a glock fan but I use to own a glock 26 (9mm) very easy to conceal. I now carry a Kimber ultra covert II which is a really tiny 45

The EMP is a great pistol, but if you're new to CCW, there is one thing to consider. They are single action pistols. Which means that unless you carry it uncocked, to carry it safely you have to have the manual safety engaged. Many people don't mind this. But a friend of mine is a retired policeman and he'll tell you stories of offices who've drawn their weapons and attempted to fire, only to be stopped because the safety was still on. I've seen a security video of a liquor store robbery where the clerk drew a gun and clearly got the drop on the bad guy. The video clearly showed him attempting to shoot the gun. When police arrived, they found the clerk dead, gun still in hand, with the safety still on. That's why I prefer guns without manual safeties. Just my personal preference. When I draw my gun it should be ready to shoot.

Hi Evo1911,

Welcome to the FTF.

I would put in some range time, shooting a variety of guns.

Pay particular attention to the muzzle flip and recoil of the

revolvers and shorter barreled 1911s.

Then get a Beretta 92...

Seriously, you'd just buy a gun untried from advice over the net?

Your LGS owner is going to love you.
