Default Clips?

I realize it is probably petty...but it bugs me and I just need to point it out...

the description for the handgun forum says you can talk about "clips"

Please change to magazines.

I visit the forum from my phone so, I don't see the descriptions. However, when I'm with my shooting buddies I like to call magazines "clips" as often as possible just to rile them up.

"Hey, how many you got left in your clip?"

"How many clips will I need to complete this stage?"

"You got any spare clips I can borrow?"

They know I'm doing it just to frustrate them but, it still works every time! ;-)

This IMO, is the silly part about guns that everybody

argues about. Is anyone really super-concerned that

somebody called a magazine a "clip"? WHAT,

you didn't know what they were talking

about?

I carry an empty .223 stripper clip in my range bag for when the occasion comes to provide a visual aid as to the difference between clip and mag. It's handy.

Whereas I'm so busy worrying about where to hunt,

getting my semi mags hunting compliant, overall accuracy,

tuning and painting my sights, organizing my equipment,

finding more efficient ways to clean fired weapons,

etc, etc, et all nite, that the last thing I ever have to

worry about is whether someone uttered the infamous

word "clip", within earshot...
