Which Ford's? Is that Bob Ford, by any chance? Used to be in Pasadena, CA?

I was lazy and didn't clean my guns from Saturday's range trip until today.

While I was at it, I took the bluing off the Sistema's slide. I mixed up some J-B Weld and filled the import mark. I tried to keep it pretty thin so as to not have to do too much file work. So right now, it's curing and I'll let it set until next weekend.

The plan is to go to my buddy's house and Ceramcoat the pistol there. He's a bachelor and we can stink up his house when the parts bake. My wife wouldn't be pleased with me if I did it at our place.

BTW, the Ladysmith shot like a champ. Not a single hiccup.

Nice! I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

I know what you mean about the smell, too.

When we were buying the appliances for our new kitchen last summer my wife caught me measuring the inside dimensions of all of the ovens. She did not even bother to ask me why I was measuring the and just rolled hers eyes. Ha. She is NOT a big fan of the smell of baking paint, either.

But I just needed an oven big enough to bake the barrelled action of an M14 or Mauser. Jeez.
