Default Browning Challenger 22LR

Considering a purchase.Made in 1969,in Belgium.Beautiful condition, nice deep blueing, handsome wood grips, extra Mag,owners manual, and soft leather case.My other Brownings,a BDA(Baretta)and Highpower(FN).Did FN also make this pistol.I've been told they shoot very welland are very accurate.Does anyone know this gun?

Browning Challenger III . After cleaning it wouldn't rack. Wouldn't budge. Unassembled and reassembled several times, finally bent the spring. I've had the gun for more than 30 years, never had a problem. The slide seems like it's pinching the projection stud, where the other end of the slide spring connects. Any thoughts? Thanks, JB

It was hanging on the hand grip. Brainfart the older one gets the more they occur.
