You might consider a Taurus 709 slim. It is small as compact 9mm handguns go, has a lifetime warranty, and it very reasonable cost wise. Many people turn their noses up on Taurus, but I have to tell you, the Kahr 9mm I had, a CW9, had a required breakin period of at least 200 rounds. It had many FTE and other problems right out of the box. A friend of mine who is also a gun dealer, uses the Taurus 709 Slim. We both used the same WWB jacketed round nose ammo and just to let you know, the Taurus had no FTE or FTF malfunctions right out of the box. And is cheaper to purchase than the Kahr. I got rid of the Kahr!! And another one that is a great 9mm compact is a Keltec PF9. No problems with that gun right out of the box either. JMHO of course.

Nice to hear you have a good one. Taurus has a hit and miss reputation...not all of them have issues.

Yes, Taurus has a hit and miss reputation. Lot's of misses. That and their customer support is pathetic.

They actually make wallet type holsters that go in the purse. Big enough to find easy in a purse, covers the trigger and barrel openings for safety/cleanliness. I'll try to find an example, but honestly, with the idea, you can find just about any leather worker who could make you one dirt cheap.

If she is strictly carrying in her purse by the way, I wouldn't work too hard to find the smallest gun in the world. Purses give some room for concealment.

I you go to a good store or site you will find ( to my wallets dismay ) many , many CCW purses - - - just ask my wife or daughter.

They look good and with just a little practice the girls learn to access their firearm quickly and easily!

I have and recommend the Colt Defender or a Kimber Solo and love them both. My Solo goes everywhere with me. Good luck.
