I don't own a Glock, I may never own a Glock, but I would say a Glock... huh? That's right. If I could only have one gun, and it was going to be beaten to all Hell, then I would buy a Glock.

However for range toys I like 'em shiny and interesting. I don't like ubiquity and things hopelessly conventional. That's why I don't (yet) own a Glock.

And bottomline: damn I hate that grip angle!

BUT, yeah, maybe it's time to go look for a Glock so please excuse me while I wipe the Kool-Aid moustache off my upper lip.

I would recommend the beretta m9. I own one and never had a problem with one, but it has nothing on my service pistol; the MP 443 Grach. I like both but id recommend the M9 or the Sig Sauer P226 in 40 or 9mm

the BEST handgun is the one that you can best manipulate to finish the fight quickest, without fear of failure. Once a gun is in a certain reliability bracket, it just doesn't matter anymore, anything that still works like a charm after a million rounds ... it's a handgun, not a tolkienish super weapon that needs to pierce dragon scales and reflect evil lazers ...

The best Handgun for me for 20 years has been the Ruger KP90DC. I've carried it so long that if feels like a part of me. It has always done what it was designed to do. Fire and hit the target, if I do my part. I would not exchange it for any other gun, for my personal carry and protection. What is best for you, is what will fire, and that you can hit the target with.
