Both are fine. If you are thinking about carry, then the 19 would be slightly easier to use in that role. Other than that the 17 is a comfortable shooter with a longer sight radius, which can help a bit with accuracy.

Where about are you located? Because gun shows are only a good way if your state is very "gun friendly" sometimes

CZ P-07 is 399 at Academy, don't buy the 40s though, having issues with those. Check out the Rock Island 1911 , you may find what you are looking for.

Most problems with the P-07 in .40 have been sorted out. The only reason I say "most" instead of "all" is that no gun manufacturer has a flawless record. The P-07 is an amazing firearm with the sweetest trigger on a sub-$600 pistol I've ever felt. You have a lot of choices. I will keep my Glock opinions to myself. But if it comes down to CZ versus Bersa, put the Bersa down and walk away... Lol

I had not researched rather that solved the problems with the 40 models. My fault, just wanted to give a heads up on it. In extremely happy with my 9mm though, it's one of my carry pieces as well.

I didn't mean to sound snarky. There really were problems with reliable feeding. It was a big deal. How long have you had your 9mm?

No offense taken. I've had mine for about a year now. I really enjoy shooting it, more than my full size XD to be honest.

I own one and its awesome. I had the grip safety changed for comfort and the hammer changed for looks. I also put on hogue grips and kept the factory WWII sights on it. I've shot close to 1,000 rounds through it and found it to be very reliable and pretty accurate. In fact its my everyday carry. I named her Sally after the Black Ops 1911 lol
